libdaq-dev software package provides Data Acquisition library for packet I/O - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdaq-dev
libdaq-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdaq-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdaq-dev *
You will get with libdaq-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
